Get your first look at $450M Desert Diamond Casino near Surprise reveals gaming and dining highlights

The Tohono O’odham Nation is opening the brand new Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks in Waddell, located just off Loop 303 and Northern Parkway. The casino will eventually expand to include a hotel, conference center, pool, amphitheater, and event lawn space.

It features 900 slot machines, table games, two full-service restaurants, retail store, sportsbook, a Starbucks and a five-venue food hall. A bar called the Lightning Lounge, an homage to nearby Luke Air Force Base, is the centerpiece of the casino, visible from everywhere on the gaming floor, featuring a circular TV screen.

Exhibits around the building will feature artifacts from the Tohono O’odham nation that date back more than 700 years.

Guests can step into the 184,000-foot casino floor, where they can try their hand at 900 slot machines, a poker room, a retail sports book and classic table games such as blackjack, roulette and baccarat. If players get hungry, they can grab some grub at the famed Morton’s Steakhouse.
