| 2/9/2023 | ‘Understanding Dementia’ comes to Surprise on Feb. 9 An empowering presentation is coming to Surprise on Thursday, Feb. 9. "Understanding Dementia: A Challenging Journey" is a free event from 9 a.m.-noon at Grand Community Baptist Church, 18350 N. Goldwater Ridge Drive, Surprise. Hospice of the Valley Dementia Program Director Maribeth Gallagher explains how the disease progresses, and teaches caregivers how to connect with the person with dementia and reduce stress.
