Optum Arizona will celebrate the grand opening of its brand-new Surprise Community Center on Thursday, Oct. 19. Optum Community Centers are neighborhood hubs for local seniors 55 and older to gather with friends – both old and new – in a shared journey of physical and social well-being. Optum Community Centers are unique in offering a capability-adaptable fitness facility, classes and living room space, all at no cost for anyone 55 and older, regardless of Optum association. The centers provide interconnected, wrap-around services to help seniors stay physically active, socially engaged, mentally stimulated and emotionally supported.
The grand opening festivities will feature seniors actively engaged in line dancing, chair drumming and autogenic training; a ribbon cutting and remarks by Optum Community Centers Director Ben Brock.
